UAEU Announces Collaboration Agreement with DASSAULT AVIATION
The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) and DASSAULT AVIATION have signed a memorandum of agreement through which DASSAULT AVIATION will collaborate with the UAE University on research and educational activities such as research projects, scientific exchanges and symposia focusing on aeronautics.
A joint scientific committee and a joint steering committee are set-up between the two parties to make arrangements for activities including scientific lectures to the UAEU Faculty and students by technical experts from DASSAULT, exchange of scientific visits involving as well graduate students at the University training and conducting research at DASSAULT labs, and defining joint cooperative research projects in the areas of aero-structures, man or unmanned air vehicles, and software engineering and complex system applications to aeronautics to be conducted between the UAEU and DASSAULT AVIATION.
The French company is involved in numerous public and private research projects to produce more capable future military aircraft and business jets with the goals to improve competitiveness; it is also a leader in space activities such as aerospace vehicles, launchers and satellites.
Prof. Wyatt R. Hume, the Provost of UAE University, said:
