International Students

International students are accepted in both the first and second semesters of the academic year.

Admission Criteria

  1. International Students are eligible to be admitted to the United Arab Emirates University and on a provisional basis to the following colleges during the current academic year and applicants holding old certificate (no more than three years) in accordance with the criteria and conditions set forth by UAE University, and subject to the enrollment limits established for each college:College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Science, College of Education, College of Business and Economics, College of Law, College of Food and Agriculture, College of Engineering and College of Information Technology,

    Admission to UAEU is based on relevant academic preparation and performance levels, and the instructional capacities of the academic programs. Applicant’s eligibility for admissions will be based on a combination of their Grade 12 Grade Average.

  2.  Students admitted to the university will be provisionally assigned to a college in accordance with the instructional capacity of each college, the preferences expressed by the student and their academic qualifications. In case of equal qualifications, preference will be based on student grade averages in subjects qualifying for admission to the specific college.

  3. Students holding a National Grade 12 Certificate - Literary/ Arts Track, or equivalent, may apply for admission to the colleges of Humanities and Social Sciences, Education, Business and Economics, and Law in accordance with their averages and the available instructional capacity.

  4. Students holding a National Grade 12 Certificate - Science Track, or equivalent, may apply for admission to the colleges of Humanities and Social Sciences, Science, Education, Law, Business and Economics, Food and Agriculture, Engineering, and Information Technology in accordance with their averages and the available instructional capacity.

  5. Applicants with a grade 12 Secondary Certificate, with a grade average of 95%, or higher, plus an average of 85%, or higher, in Mathematics and 85% in either Physics or Chemistry are eligible for provisional admission to the College of Engineering.

Documents Required:

1- The original, or certified, copy of a Grade 12 Certificate obtained from a school in the UAE or equivalent and equivalency letter for Grade 12 high school certificate from the Ministry of Education for schools that do not follow the government curriculum.

2- A copy of a valid passport for UAE nationals and nationals of other GCC countries.

3- A copy of a valid passport and a copy of a valid residency visa is required for other nationalities.

4- A certified copy of a birth certificate or other certificate verifying the student’s age.

5- Copy of an identity card and four recent colored passport size photographs.

6- A written statement in which the student vows to abide by university bylaws, policies and code of ethics.

7- Non-refundable online application fee of AED 200.
