Workshop Brief Description Zotero is a free software program for researchers, similar to Endnote. Zotero enables one-click importing of references from websites such as Google Scholar. Zotero can then insert citations to references into a Microsoft Word document in specific journal styles such as APA, Harvard, MLA and many others. Zotero is a ‘must’ for researchers as it helps organize background reading as well as storing PDF’s, even before you start writing your thesis.

Learning objectives:

  1. Import references from websites into Zotero
  2. Insert citations into a Microsoft Word document.

Resources

Bring your Windows or Mac laptop with Firefox (www.mozilla.org) and Zotero (www.zotero.org) installed before the workshop. Ensure your laptop is fully charged, as the room may not have convenient power sockets.
