Profiles of Doctorate Dissertations
PREFACE
The “Profiles of Doctorate Dissertations” publication is prepared annually by the College
of Graduate Studies in the Division of Research and Graduate Studies at the United Arab
Emirates University (UAEU). The purpose of this publication is to highlight the research
accomplishments of UAEU’s Doctorate students who have successfully defended their
dissertations and graduated.
This 2015-2016 issue features the third class of graduates of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
program and the first class of graduates of the Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA)
program. It includes the profiles of 12 PhD students and 6 DBA students, which are ordered
chronologically based on their dissertation defense dates. Each profile includes a brief
introductory information of the student, an abstract of the student’s dissertation, a brief
statement on the research relevance and potential impact, a list of the main publications
resulted from the research, and the student’s career aspirations. The information included
in these profiles was provided by the students or their faculty advisors.
