A brief description of the event: Good MCQs are not easy to write. However, flawed MCQs interfere with accurate and meaningful interpretation of student performance. In order to develop MCQs that are reliable and valid it is important to construct items that are free as possible of flaws. This workshop will provide an overview of established guidelines for writing effective MCQs and a short introduction to principles of item analysis.
