Student Benevolence
The Student Academic Success & Advising (SASA) Unit encourages student volunteerism as a path
for personal development through community service work. The volunteer hours are tracked in www.
madad.ain.ae where over 40,000 certified volunteer hours were entered by 900 individuals from the
community as of May 2013. The Madad Volunteering Tracking System was awarded the prestigious
Khalifa Award for Education in the field of innovational educational project in the Arab world 2012.
The Student Affairs Deanship supports community outreach by providing several programs lead by
students such as monthly visit to hospitals to meet and support patients, blood donation, environmental
support programs, participation in red crescent initiatives, traffic safety programs, and recycling
initiatives.
