UAEU fosters university-community collaboration by engaging the University’s academic resources in
the enrichment of civic and community life in our local, national, and global communities. Our goal is
to reinforce the national status and international reputation of the University, and to ensure effective
transfer of knowledge and skills to our partners and the community, along with creating new initiatives
that bring multiple schools and disciplines together to work on shared community-based projects that
promote positive social change.
Strategic Communications Unit
UAEU established a new Strategic Communications Unit which is responsible for building, enhancing,
and protecting the University’s image and reputation through marketing and communication initiatives
that inspire and inform internal and external audiences, while advancing and positioning the University
as a world-class institution.
Alumni
UAEU values its expanding alumni network and through the Colleges, annual alumni meetings
are organized to allow friends to reconnect, network, share best practices, and to learn about the
expanding programs offered by UAEU. Alumni can take advantage of a variety of services at the
University, including career placement and planning, access to the library resources, retail discounts
cards, transcript requests, short courses offered by the Continuing Education Center (CEC), amongst
many others. UAEU Alumni are also involved in the development of the course curriculums.
Center for Career Placement and Planning (CCPP)
As part of its commitment towards serving the UAEU community, UAEU’s Career Counselors conducted
a career assessment session for female high school students from Al Rafaa School and provided them
with advice on their future career and in selecting an appropriate university major. The CCPP team also
provided career advice to visiting high school students at the Ministry of Education career show and
provided them with information about how to choose an academic major that best suit their skills and
match the country’s job market needs.
Additionally, the CCPP in collaboration with Advanced Technology Investment Company (ATIC)
organized 4 visits to UAEU for 200 high school students to raise awareness about degrees and careers
in engineering, science and technology.
