Admission Requirements & Fees
Students shall be admitted to the various Colleges within the University according to the general
policies and regulations established by the University. Admission shall be limited to students whose
achievements in high school qualify them for University education. A minimum of 75% on their
Grade 12 Certificate will be required and 85% if applying to the College of Medicine and Health
Sciences. Additionally, the Engineering College requires an applicant to achieve a minimum of 80%
in mathematics and 80% in either physics or chemistry on their Grade 12 exam or its equivalent.
Undergraduate Admissions
The eligibility to apply to some Colleges at UAEU depends on a student’s study stream. Students in
the Arts stream are eligible to apply to the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of
Education, College of Business and Economics and the College of Law and students in the Science
stream are eligible to apply to all Colleges provided they meet the admission requirements and
space is available within the College.
Admission applications to the University will be processed in complete coordination through the
central admission office, the National Admissions and Placement Office (NAPO), in the Ministry of
Higher Education and Scientific Research. From time to time, the University will survey the needs of
the United Arab Emirates job market for graduates from various specializations and determine the
number of students to be admitted to each academic program.
