Entry Assessment Tests:
Students who do not meet the requirements for direct admission into their degree program, are required
to take the University’s Foundation Program (UFP) placement exams during the student orientation week.
These exams include tests in English, mathematics (algebra and pre-calculus), computer technology and
Arabic.
About UFP:
UFP is the bridge between your high school and the degree programs offered at UAEU. UFP staff and
faculty will help you develop your academic and study skills while you complete UFP courses. These
skills will assist you in achieving success when you begin your studies towards your Bachelor’s degree.
There are three levels in the English course and two levels in the mathematics, computer technology and
Arabic courses. You will be placed in the most appropriate course level depending on your scores in the
UFP placement exams.
