As part of the United Arab Emirates University’s (UAEU’s) celebrations for the 43^rd National Day, the Media and Communication Department at UAEU launched the ‘Pulse of the UAE Award’, which seeks to highlight student creativity and to motivate students to display their talents and express their feelings of national belonging on the occasion of National Day: a celebration of the federation of the country.

The award aims to encourage patriotism in students and expressions of loyalty through stimulating creativity and emphasizing national identity. It also fosters pride in the UAE and its many values.

The award is divided into two categories: one for photography and one for video. The participants must be students at UAEU and their work must be in keeping with the theme of the award. Student can submit up to three entries in both categories as long as the submission is original and has not been submitted previously.
