The College of Business and Economics at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) held the 22^nd graduation ceremony for the Master’s of Business Administration and, concurrently the first graduation ceremony for the Master’s of Professional Accounting on Tuesday 17^th of February 2015, at the Jumeirah Hotel, Etihad Towers, Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Geralyn McClure Franklin, Dean of College of Business and Economics, said that this day was one of pride and appreciation of the graduates, faculty and staff working in, and on, graduate programs at the university. This new batch of qualified graduates will be able to contribute positively to the development of the community and the country by participating actively in the workforce.

She added that “as we congratulate you on this achievement, we acknowledge the, ‘agenda of leadership and excellence’ adopted by UAEU.” She went on to say that these degrees have an international reputation in Business Management and Professional Accounting and are approved by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The College of Business and Economics at UAEU is the first College in the Middle East to boast this certification, and the professional accounting program is the only one of its kind in the region.

The graduates thanked the university and the College of Business and Economics for helping them develop their knowledge base, experience and expertise in order to enhance their skills, research capabilities and careers, all of which will enable them to excel and serve the country.
