The College of law at the United Arab Emirates University received a delegation from the College of Law at Sultan Qaboos University. Dr. Mohammed Hassan, Dean of the College of Law, received the delegation, in the presence of Dr. Abdullah Hasan, Vice Dean and Chairman of the Department of Private Law and Dr. Habiba Al Shamsi, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs.

The visit comes within a framework of strategic cooperation which has joined the two universities for over 26 years and confirms the enthusiasm of UAEU towards the promotion of scientific, research, and academic partnerships. Dr. Mohammed Hassan welcomed the Omani delegation and briefed them on the processes and lesson planning which ensure educational results and help to supply the labor market with suitably qualified graduates capable of being leaders in their fields.

The Dean added that UAEU is constantly striving to provide a conducive learning environment. In the College of Law they pursue a mission to achieve societal and legal justice by preparing graduates that are able to perform their duties in just and efficient manner. He also referred to UAEU’s educational court, legal clinic, conferences, workshops and lectures that are held throughout the year in order to aspire to academic excellence and help to develop interactive teaching methodology.

Dr. Yaqoob Bin Mohammed Bin Sheikhan Al Waeli, Head of the Omani delegation, commended the College of Law at UAEU for its teaching and research. He also mentioned the nature of the relationship between the two universities which is characterized by academic cooperation and joint research initiatives.
