The College of Business and Economics at UAEU Honors its Strategic Partners

The College of Business and Economics at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) honored its strategic partners from institutions and industrial companies that contribute to the training and support of the college’s students, and helps them develop their skills and abilities, in order to enhance the quality of the national labor market.
The ceremony opened with an introductory film that highlighted the outstanding research achievements of the college in recent years. Professor Geralyn McClure Franklin, Dean of the College, welcomed the audience and thanked all those involved in the activities of the college and in preparing students to contribute positively to the national labor market by producing graduates with distinct professional abilities.
She added that the college supports "the agenda of excellence" adopted by UAEU in terms of its quality of teaching, research, community service and continuous development. The college seeks to create a training environment for students that helps them to open up new horizons on a professional future that that will support the economic development of the UAE.
Dr. Saif Al Shaali, Assistant Dean for Professional Development and Director of the Continuing Education Center at UAEU, delivered a presentation on the training events that took place in the college last semester. The number of student trainees reached 170, across nine majors, and they were distributed evenly amongst a number of institutions and companies in different Emirates. This training is for a period of 3 months and he noted that the college helps students to choose the most suitable of the candidate authorities for their training. The students are committed to providing weekly and monthly reports and a detailed presentation about their training period.
