The College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) recently honored the 2004 student cohort on the tenth anniversary of their graduation. The ceremony took place on Wednesday 7^th January, 2015 in the Sheikh Khalifa Hall at the college. Prof. Dennis Templeton, Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, was present along with guest of honor Dr. Rafia Ghubash, the former President of the Arab Gulf University, as well as a number of graduates and faculty.

In his speech, Prof. Templeton stressed the values and principles that UAEU seeks to promote and maintain. This includes effective communication between the university and its students, developing this communication in order to help the transfer of skills, knowledge and ideas and incorporating the suggestions of the students.

Dr. Alia Al Bawardi, Head of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Graduates Association, highlighted how this annual event helps to preserve the relationship between graduates and the college. It also encourages the exchange of ideas and allows for a review of the many important advances achieved by the college s graduates over the last ten years.

At the ceremony an overview of the 2004 cohort and their current specialties was presented. Additionally, events, activities and competitions were held to enhance the capabilities of the graduates. At the end of the ceremony, the students, the guest of honor and also sponsors were honored.
