Mon, 6 June 2022
The College of Business and Economics at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) organized an introductory workshop regarding summer school scholarships being offered by the University of Oxford to UAEU students. This workshop, for both male and female students, was held on Sunday, 11th January, 2015 in the crescent building at UAEU.
The workshop represents the close ties UAEU is keen to develop with international partners and emphasizes the university’s aim to promote the skills and abilities of their students. Mr. Dominik Wanner, Chief Executive Officer at CBL International, talked about the summer scholarship programs in both Oxford and Cambridge and stressed the enthusiasm of these universities in encouraging UAEU students to attend summer school. These programs already attract both male and female students from more than 70 countries around the world.
Mr. Wanner then discussed details of the one month program. He described how students can register via the official website or through the Professional Training and Development Unit at UAEU. He also explained that the program includes a variety of classes conducted by the universities of Oxford and Cambridge as well as recreational and cultural activities for the students.
Students receive two certificates at the end of the summer semester: the first is for enrollment, while the other is from the program director at the University of Oxford. These certificates may well open up new horizons for the students.
