Under the auspices of Hamdan Bin Mubarak, UAEU honors its strategic partners in Abu Dhabi

Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, UAEU honored its partners in the federal government and private sectors as part an annual forum held on Wednesday 27th May 2015, at the St. Regis Hotel in Abu Dhabi. During the ceremony, 58 authorities from a variety of fields were honored.
Professor Mohamed Albaili, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, conveyed the greetings and thanks of His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan to the partners and praised them for their support and assistance. This has had a significant impact on the university’s achievements and its global ranking in terms of research and innovation. UAEU has registered 31 international patents with 12 others in process. Additionally, UAEU faculty have contributed a total of 1,114 research articles while continuing to develop integrated methodology and review all academic levels at the university.
Professor Albaili added that UAEU wanted to thank the national leadership, the strategic partners and the national graduates who have contributed to the scientific and cultural progress of the country. The number of graduates stands at nearly 58,000, in addition to the 14,000 students currently registered.
He further noted that UAEU, thanks to the guidance of His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, operates a planned strategy to achieve its goals in terms of scientific research, leadership and excellence. He added that UAEU graduates are pioneers in their fields, an asset to their employers and can be relied upon to tackle challenges head on and overcome any obstacles in their way.
The organizing committee presented the university's strategy for 2014-2016. This included the vision, mission and objectives to be completed within that timeframe at both academic and administrative levels.
UAEU students then performed a showcase of their own lyrics, melodies and other artistic performances that described the journey undertaken by the university since its inception until today.
At the end of the ceremony, Professor Albaili honored the partners, distributed mementos and certificates of appreciation, and also signed four joint cooperation agreements between UAEU and the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, Al Ain Zoo, Schlumberger Middle East and the Department of Municipal Affairs in Abu Dhabi.
