The Curriculum and Instruction Department in the College of Education at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) held the Seventh Annual Forum for Mathematics, Science and Educational Technology on the morning of Tuesday 10^th March, 2015 at the University Social Club (Al Multaqa) in the presence of Dr. Ali Al Kaabi, Acting Dean of the College of Education. Also in attendance were professors from the college, students and educational specialists.

Dr. Al Kaabi’s opening speech was about the importance of this annual forum, which allows the attendees to keep abreast of developments, techniques and methodologies in the teaching of math and science. It also allows for the unveiling of the latest educational technology, the exchange of ideas and helps to create an environment of collaboration as we strive to advance the educational process. He also pointed to the importance of innovation, especially in the fields of science, mathematics and technology, stressing that this forum was an opportunity to strengthen relationships with strategic partners, such as the Ministry of Education, Abu Dhabi Education Council and other educational institutions.

The sessions were divided into two main areas that addressed modern teaching methodology in mathematics, science and educational technology. Master's and Doctoral students from UAEU took part in addition to specialists from various educational institutions.

The participants discussed the use of educational blogs, educational cloud computing services, creative ideas to serve the mathematics curriculum and the key concepts in teaching interactive mathematics. Additionally, they discussed mathematics teaching, the production and use of broadcasting in teaching and learning, how to use electronic tests, smart applications for smart mathematics, and other issues regarding the use of the latest technology in both teaching and learning.
