The Innovation Support Team at the United Arab Emirates University organized a ‘Sharp Minds and Bright Ideas’ event, on Sunday, November 15^th, 2015, in the food-court area of the female campus. Professor Ghaleb Ali Al Hadrami, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies, and Professor Faeqa Al Hilal, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administrative Affairs (Secretary-General) were in attendance.

The two day event was opened by the Secretary-General and aims to encourage creative ideas in the student body. This included a brainstorming workshop to record innovative ideas as part of the ‘Idea Gist’ program at UAEU.

The plans is to form teams of male and female students whose mission is to support the current innovation campaign. They should identify and classify ideas and will compete with each other to collect the largest number of innovative ideas from university students. They will encourage outstanding ideas and discover, develop and refine talent through the provision of material and moral support. This will enable students to turn their creative ideas into products of economic value and of benefit to the community. This will help in branding UAEU both locally and internationally.

Professor Al Hadrami was briefed on the center for the launch creative ideas, where female students present ideas that serve the university or the wider community. He expressed his thanks to the students for their contribution in introducing the program to the audience.
