His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chancellor of UAE University, stressed the importance of the concerted joint efforts between all relevant national institutions to improve the educational process at all its stages, to develop inputs of curricula and educational programs, to ensure the quality of learning outcomes, according to the highest and latest international standards, keeping up with scientific development, especially since the educational process comes in the beginning of the national strategies which our Government attaches special importance to, beginning from its future vision, since the educational process provides opportunities for education, training and rehabilitation of educational cadres, so as to achieve the national aspirations for the requirements of the comprehensive national development.

His Excellency pointed out in his speech on the occasion of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between UAE University and Abu Dhabi Education Council, that the University owns the cumulative experience that qualifies them to be at the forefront of national sources of expertise in providing consultancy and development and training programs, and from its leading national pioneering role in the process of giving course development and training special attention, since it reflectes positively on the preparation of elite cadres capable of keeping pace with rapid scientific and technical development in all fields.

His Excellency added that through the cooperation with national institutions, we seek to educate and train cadres of the educational process, with the aim of promoting a culture of innovation and creativity, to promote entrepreneurship, and develop the leadership skills, the University has the capabilities and expertise to carry out this task with ambitious national goals, which contribute directly to achieving the strategic vision of the State.

UAE University has signed with Abu Dhabi Education Council a Memorandum of Understanding for mutual cooperation between the two sides, in the presence of her Excellency Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Education Council, Professor Mohammad Albaili, Deputy Vice Chancellor of UAE University for Accademic Affairs, and Professor Dr. Mohamed Yousuf Baniyas, Executive Director of the Higher Education Sector in Abu Dhabi Education Council, that included all areas of cooperation for the development and revision of curricula for the different stages of government education, and working to meet the needs of the Abu Dhabi Education Council, in addition to the technical training of educational and administrative bodies at government schools, with the aim of promoting innovation and creativity, and to promote entrepreneurship among students, with a special emphasis on modern teaching methods, and learning according to the international standards that qualify graduates to keep abreast of development on all levels.

The Memorandum of Understanding also included areas of mutual cooperation for Internships, to complete a study and implement the possible mechanisms for conducting practical training of students in UAE University within the principles that are in the best interest of the students.

The Memorandum of Understanding also stated that the two parties are to seek to study the requirements of updating the school laboratories in the fields of science and technology, and providing scientific and technical advice to the Council, with the aim of upgrading laboratories and increase their benefit to the greatest extent possible, in addition to developing and coordinating research efforts in the fields of science and technology which conforms with the vision, priorities and areas of schooling of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in addition to focusing on special needs programs, as well as cooperation in the initiatives of Abu Dhabi Council associated with innovation and summer programs, and organizing initiatives and competitions for school and university students in science and technology, Arabic language, and other areas in the interest of education and learning in the State.

Her Excellency Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Education Council, gave her thanks and appreciation to UAE University for their outstanding academic achievements and expertise achieved through its academic and educational journey, leading to the preparation of national cadres constituting the largest balance for overall development process taking place in the State that are in the interest of raising the educational process in all its aspects, she also commended the care of his Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education And Scientific Research, Chancellor of the University, and his direct support to the upgrading of the educational process in general and higher education in particular.

Her Excellency added that Abu Dhabi Education Council in the context of its work in accordance with its strategic plan to lay the foundations of an integrated system for the production of knowledge according to Abu Dhabi Vision 2030, is cooperating with UAE University in many ways to take advantage of its expertise in several important areas covered by the Memorandum of Understanding, including curriculum development, conducting research, and the development of qualified human resources, for the implementation of certain strategic initiatives, particularly in the area of innovation, and restructuring of the third stage, and to focus on science and technology.
