The Colleges of Science and Business and Economics at United Arab Emirates University honored their strategic partners for their role in the preparation and training of University students on Wednesday and Thursday, 27th and 28th of April 2016. In attendance were deans of colleges, professors, and representatives from government and private authorities.
The College of Science honored 20 government and private authorities and two internal authorities in the university. Both Dr. Ghaleb Al Hadrami, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies and Dr. Ahmed Mourad, Acting Dean of the College of Science congratulated the colleges for their distinguished role in contributing to the training of students and providing them with the skills and tools required for entering the job market. Dr. Hadrami noted that, "These authorities have contributed to the achievement of the plans and program of the College of Science for the academic year 2015-2016, by providing scholarships for the College’s students and supporting their initiatives."
In addition, Dr. Geralyn McClure Franklin, Dean of the College of Business and Economics, honored 45 government and private authorities, in recognition of their role in the preparation and training of students. Dr. Franklin said: "We have acquired an international reputation of excellence in teaching business and accounting as a result of our accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Our College is the first College in the Middle East to get this accreditation and our accounting program is the only program in the region which enjoys the accreditation of this Association. For this we thank all the sponsoring and supporting authorities for supporting our students and the College’s plans and programs.”
