The Professional Development Department in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at United Arab Emirates University organized a ceremony to honor its strategic partners in the area of development and vocational training. The ceremony was held on Tuesday 12th of April 2016 at the Crescent building on the main campus. In attendance were students enrolled in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in the Humanities College, which is comprised of 38 institutions. Dr. Saif Al Qaydi, Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and members of the faculty were also in attendance.
Dr. Saif Al Qaydi thanked the honored institutions for their continuing cooperation in training the students and for developing their skills in accordance with the requirements of the constantly changing labor market. He praised the programs offered by these collaborating institutions with the University for their efforts and expertise in providing high standards training to the students. Their goal is to produce graduates that are able to meet the requirements of the national labor market, thereby embodying the mission of the University which is aimed at preparing pioneering graduates in their fields.
Other social, political, media, psychological institutions and authorities that contributed to training students from around the State were also honored. Also recognized were academic supervisors for their continuing efforts with the students. The Office of the Vice Dean for Professional Development in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences strives to prepare, in advance for each academic year, a range of courses and training programs for the students. This is in accordance with the working plan of cooperation with the best institutions and authorities, both within and outside the State, whose aim is maintaining the University's standards in the its learning plan and delivering educational outcomes of global standards.
