The Career Planning and Placement Section in the Center for Career Placement and Alumni at the United Arab Emirates University organized a lecture on the ‘Art of Effective Communication at Work’ on Monday, February 15th, 2016.
Mr. Majid Afif, a trainer from the Emirates Dream Center for Training and Consultation, spoke about how to communicate at work and how to alleviate problems that new employees may have. He also drew on a range of practical experiences regarding effective communication and shared some tips.
The lecture aims to prepare students for the labor market and make them aware of the importance of communication as it is instrumental in influencing and dealing with others. Such skills will help them to prosper in their future careers.
This lecture is part of the university’s role in training students to assume responsibility and become future leaders. It seeks to provide a variety of training programs that contribute to building character, forming relationships and strengthening attitudes towards the working environment.
