UAEU honors graduates from the ‘Second Line Leaders Program’

The United Arab Emirates University Center for Public Policy and Leadership organized a closing ceremony for the ‘Second Line Leaders Program’ on Monday, January 18th, 2016 in the College of Information Technology. Professor Faeqa Al Hilal, Secretary-General of UAEU, department directors and representatives of the ICON International Training Center were all present.
The Secretary General stressed the effect of the program and praised the organizers. The participants were provided with tools to develop their business and increase productivity. He said that, “second line leaders are important in modern organizations and we are always working to deliver programs that enhance the efficiency second line leaders as part of the university’s drive towards leadership and excellence. This is part of our mission to contribute to the development of the UAE by upgrading administrative performance in line with international in order to achieve the university’s goals.”
Dr. Ateeq Jakka, Director of the Center for Public Policy and Leadership, thanked the second line leaders for their efforts in completing the program. He praised the program’s ability to enhance leadership skills at the university.
The university participants delivered presentations on their experiences and the benefits they derived from the 12 week long program that required one day’s attendance per week. The ceremony concluded with a final word from representatives of the ICON Center and the distribution of certificates.
