The Quality and Conformity Working Group on the College of Science Advisory Board at the United Arab Emirates University discussed its 3-year operational on Thursday, January 21st, 2016 at the headquarters of the Decision Making Support Center attached to the Dubai Police.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Sultan Al-Hajji, Vice President of Total and Chairman of the College of Science Advisory Board; Dr. Mohammed Murad Abdullah, Director of the Decision Making Support Center and a board member; Dr. Mohammad Al Mulla, from the Ministry of Energy and also a board member; Dr. Ahmed Murad, Dean of the College of Science at UAEU; other board members; a number of academic department leaders and the Dean’s assistants.
Dr. Murad discussed details of the operational plan prepared by the advisory board, its implementation over the next three years and the role it will play in the development of the college. Part of the plan is to issue a quarterly news magazine detailing research, inviting distinguished speakers to deliver lectures and foster a voluntary spirit among students and faculty alike. This all helps to serve the community. The plan also includes assessing the college’s progress in terms of the local market and against international standards such as those in the Western United States.
Dr. Murad thanked the Decision Making Support Center at Dubai Police for their organization of the meeting and a warm reception. The board members met the General Commander of the Dubai Police and visited their command and control room to get acquainted with the nature of its work.
