The Emirates Digestive Diseases Group at the College of Medicine & Health Sciences, UAE University organized an advanced gastrointestinal endoscopy conference: “The Endoscopy Masterclass” which was held at the Movenpick Hotel, Dubai on Friday March, 2016.
Dr. Ali Al Fazari, Director of the Emirates Digestive Diseases Group at the College
of Medicine and Chairman of the conference stated that this important event comes
in line with the larger mission of the College of Medicine and the UAE University
is providing quality educational and training programs to practicing clinicians and
allied healthcare professionals.
Dr. Al Fazari added that the scientific program is rich and caters to a various levels of physicians and nurses in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures from patients preparation to advanced skills in the diagnosis and management of reflux disease, gallstones, pancreatic disease, polyps and endoscopic ultrasound.
Dr. Al Fazari added that: “we are proud to receive prestigious recognition and endorsements from the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and World Endoscopy Organization”.
The College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the UAE University has accredited and awarded the program 6 CME credit hours.
Dr. Ajit Tharakan, Vice Chairman of the Conference, said that the participants were able to watch endoscopic operations led by the World renowned endoscopist Dr. Negshwar Reddy, President of the World Gastroenterology Organization. The cases were transmitted live to the conference venue and participants were able to see more than 12 operations which were all successful and hailed by all participants.
The conference witnessed great turn up of more than 200 physicians, surgeons, nurses and endoscopy technicians.
