Entry & Exit Requirements

Entry Requirements

Placement (or exemption) is based on the student’s scores on a two-part Arabic placement exam.

Placement is as follows:                                     

  • Placement Exam Part One < 60: ARBU 1401
  • Placement Exam Part One >= 60: Take Placement Exam Part Two
  • Placement Exam Part Two < 60: ARBU 1402
  • Placement Exam Part Two >= 60: Exit UFP Arabic

Students can begin study in UFP Arabic regardless of their placement in other UFP programs.

Exit Requirements

To complete UFP Arabic Program requirements, a student must do one of the following:

  • Achieve the required exit score on the Placement Exam
    • (currently 60 on each of Parts One and Two)
  • Achieve the required exit score on the optional UAEU Arabic Proficiency Test
    • (currently 5.5)
  • Achieve 60% in the ARBU 1402 course
