iWIL Launches the 2009-2010 Information Campaign: Internships & Qualified Employees go Hand-in-Hand
| With a rapidly changing economy, it is increasingly important for educational institutions and employers to join hands in training a modern workforce with the skills required to enter the workplace. This was emphasized at a recent round-table-discussion at the Emirates Palace Hotel where experts focused on producing job-ready graduates who are critical thinkers able to recognize the values of scientific research. In this context, internship and part-time jobs were described as particularly important because they prepare students to start their career after graduation. |

H.H. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor of UAE University, in his remarks pointed out "To understand the world of work, we want our students to have internships and part-time jobs. This requires the building of effective partnerships with businesses and government."
In order to identify internship places for the individual UAEU Colleges, iWIL has launched its 2009-2010 Information Campaign "Internship & Qualified Employees go Hand-in-Hand", targeting roughly 3,000 leading employers in all seven Emirates. The information send to the different employers include:
