UAEU & Agthia Joint Committee Meets

Following the signing of the MOU between the UAE University and Agthia Group, the Joint Committee held its first meeting on March 26, 2009 and was attended by:

UAEU Members:

  • Dr. Nabil Bastaki, Head of Industrial Training & Graduation Projects Unit - College of Engineering
  • Dr. Mohamed Al Hammadi, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs (Male) - College of Food & Agriculture
  • Mr. Michael Rjeily, Associate Director - Internship & Work-Integrated Learning (iWIL) Center

Agthia Members:

  • Mr. Toufic Al Chaar, Group HR Director
  • Mr. Fasahat Beg, General Managaer - Al Ain Mineral Water (PJSC)
  • Mr. Khalid S. Ahmed, Group Training & Development Manager

The committee discussed the MOU that was signed recently by both organizations and identified the framework of cooperation to include:

  • Collaboration with the University's Internship & Work-Integrated Learning (iWIL) Center for students placement in meaningful internship assignments;
  • Collaboration in different areas of graduate placement among which is Agthia's National Training Program (NTP);
  • On-Campus Presentations and Workshops for UAEU students;
  • Sponsorships of specific events.
