UAEU Students Attend Environmental Seminar in Doha-Qatar

UK Trade & Investment Doha, in partnership with the Leader and Members of the UK Climate Change Projects Office Trade Delegation and the Qatari Ministry of Environment, had organized a seminar on "Clean Development Mechanism and Carbon Market Business Opportunities".  The seminar was held on Sunday March 8, 2009 at the Moevenpick Towers & Suites, West Bay - Doha, under the Patronage of the Qatar Minister of Environment, H.E. Abdullah Mubarak Al-Moadhadi, and the British Ambassador of Qatar, H.E. John Hawkins.

Through the partnership with the iWIL Center, Emirates Foundation had thankfully provided the opportunity for UAEU students to attend this event.  4 students from Civil & Environmental Engineering major were sponsored by the Foundation and traveled to Qatar to attend this seminar. 

The seminar started at 8:00 a.m. and was adjourned at 5:00 p.m.  It included sessions about developing Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects, financing CDM projects and trading credits & wider carbon market services.
