Mubadala's STRATA Offers Outstanding Opportunities to UAEU Students
During a recent meeting between iWIL, COE and STRATA officials, cooperation in areas of internships, job opportunities and sponsorships were discussed.
| STRATA, Mubadala Development Company advanced composites aero structures manufacturing facility, aspires to become a leading manufacturing base for the global aerospace industry. It will be developed by Mubadala at Al Ain International Airport. The 21st Century state-of-the-art facility in Al Ain will be initially developed on a manufacturing space of 21,600 square meters to be expanded to 70,000 square meters in later stages. |

| Furthermore, STRATA has formed industrial partnerships with leading aerospace companies such as EADS, Airbus, FACC and Alenia Aeronautica (a Finmeccanica company) to build a high technology knowledge intensive aerospace industry for Abu Dhabi and become a global supplier. STRATA will be fully operational by 2010, and they would like to be one of the pioneers in attracting motivated UAE nationals to join them. |
On Thursday December 10, 2009, STRATA officials presented to the College of Engineering students their vision, mission, strategy, job opportunities and personal development plans. This initiative between the UAE University and STRATA will provide a great opportunity for tomorrow's national workforce to be part of the aerospace industry.
