"The Big Start" - Student Entrepreneur Initiative 2009-2010
| During a meeting with iWIL Officials, Al Tamimi Investments invited UAE University students in their final year of study to take part in their new initiative "The Big Start". The Big Start is a Student Entrepreneur initiative with a difference, created to mentor and sustain growth and entrepreneurship within the region. The program is open to all full time, final year undergraduate students in the United Arab Emirates. Al Tamimi Investments will employ and invest in the student(s) with the best business plans following their graduation. These student(s) will be supported by the company's team of professionals as they develop their business concept and make it a reality. When the business goes live, they will be awarded the CEO position and shareholding in the company. |

This competition is open to UAE University students from all nationalities and study majors. The only entry criterion is that a student should be in the final year of undergraduate study.
Al Tamimi Investment's new initiative has been designed to take the student through a real life experience of an entrepreneur, from the birth of the business idea to writing a business plan and presenting it to an investor, with the ultimate prize of seeing the business come to life.
The Big Start is administered online and structured into 3 rounds and students will need to qualify to progress to the next round. Interested students need first to register at www.thebigstart.ae to participate.
