Student Preparation
Each student is required to attend three workshops prior to internship. Failing to do so will result in withdrawing student name for internship registration. The three workshops are:
Workshop I: Steps to Success
This workshop aims at acquainting the interns with the registration procedure, on-line system use, application procedure, resume preparation, and rules and regulations. Students are trained on filling out their application forms and curriculum vitae. Through this workshop the students are prepared to identify and to form their career objectives, and to assess their qualifications (intellectual, professional and social skills) vis-à-vis the sought career skills.
Workshop II: Career Start-Up Kit
In this workshop the interns are prepared for commitment to prospective employers and career choices being sought. Through this workshop interns are also prepared to market their qualifications for the different career opportunities, to maximize and grasp what internship offers and develop the communication/ behavioral/ professional skills needed for job interviews.
Workshop III: Work Ethics and Discipline
This workshop aims at forming and/or acquainting interns with the work disciplines and the general ethics needed for successful careers. Interns are also prepared to meet prospective employers' expectations with emphasis on strengthening leadership, flexibility, self awareness and competitiveness skills.
