SUNGARD Conference 2010 Presentation
UITS has participated in SMEUG 2010 - the Middle East's SunGard premier higher education user conference - which was held in the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai City during the period December 13th - 14th.
UITS presented three presentations about Banner new custom modules developed by UITS.
UAEU Portal on Mobile Devices
UAEU is introducing the first mobile web portal for students in UAE. Using the Luminis portal,
UAEU Mobile portal provides access to announcements, class schedule and grades directly to handheld devices, regardless of mobile brand. The idea is to aggregate services to keep students and faculty well informed. UAEU plans to continue integrating other university services into the portal such as Blackboard and Exchange Mail. In this presentation we will explain the approach to build mobile portal using Luminis 4.2 as the backend.

Travel Request System at UAEU
This system was developed to automate manual business processes including Travel Request Process, Approval Process for advance payment and re-imbursement, Air Line ticket Maintenance Process, Payment Process, Return Notification Process, also liquidate encumbrance automatically through JV and Employee Payroll Integration.
