Help in outlook2003, what is the difference between IMAP and POP3 accounts?
- IMAP access is used when you need to keep all your emails on server, so you can have access to all of it through Internet Explorer .So when you are deleting a message from your outlook it gets deleted from the mail server also.
- POP3 access is mainly when you plan to download all your mails to your Pc, and remove it completely from the mail server, so your “inbox “on the server always empty. This default behavior can be changed in outlook settings.
