Wired Network
Almost all campuses of UAEU, in spite of their different locations, are joined together with a wired network which consist of different network technologies.
The wired network provides basic network/Internet access to all staff, faculty and students. Basic access provides a 100Mbps connection to the UAEU network and beyond, including the UAEU web server and web-based University applications such as Banner, Webmail, eServices, BlackBoard, the portal at my.uaeu and others.
Service available to:
Students, Staff, Faculty Members and Departments.
Requesting a Wired Network Point:
A new wired network point requires the requester to fill a Network Outlet Request form
(PDF, 66.1 KB) and submit it to Help Desk with his Dean/ Director’s approval.
Enabling Network Point:
The customer calls Help Desk or sends a request to helpdesk@uaeu.ac.aeto enable a network point. He should specify the following:
- Location: Campus – Building no. – Floor – Room no.
- Network point’s reference no. which is displayed on the socket of the network point.
