The Web Publishing Unit supports the Online Events promotion function, via the UAEU Events page .

How do I request an Event to be added?

Calendar Icon If you wish to publicize an Event via the UAEU Events page then please follow these 2 steps:

Step 1: Prepare your Request Information carefully

  1. Note that Upcoming Events listed on the Events page are intended to promote UAEU Events to the General Public and the UAEU Community.
  2. As of Spring 2010, the Event page is intended to be an easily browsable page with quick link references to various Unit/College event details The page is not intended to provide detailed information itself, with packages or document downloads for all UAEU events
  3. Preferred submissions include Conferences and UAEU Academic / Community related activities. The larger the event in terms of institutional importance and audience, the more likely the publication. Internal seminars / meetings  etc are not suitable submissions.
  4. Determine your Event Title, Event Dates and Event web page link. Include this information in your request Email. If you have no Event web page then you must include Contact Details for readers to be able to get in touch for more information. Ideally a Unit or Staff Name / Email address / Telephone number.
  5. Publication of Event details and downloads is the responsibility of the Unit/College hosting the events. We recommend you publish any such information clearly on your Unit/College web site before making your request

Event requests that do not follow these Guidelines will not be published. Incomplete requests may be delayed.

Step 2: Prepare your Event Request Email & Send to the News Team

Important Note: Approvals & Early Submissions

Please note that Event requests "may" sometimes need Executive Approval. To avoid delays, submit your request with Title, Dates, and either Web link or Contact Information, as early as possible, preferably 1 week before you wish the link to go live.
