Mobile Apps @ UAEU
With the dramatic technological change that engulfs us, there is now a new
phase of change – essentially a big shift from desktop machines and desktop-
sites, to mobile-sites, mobile apps and Apps stores. And yet this is a huge chal-
lenge for developers. Here, at the UAEU, back in 2010, we have witnessed such
a change. When the UAEU Portal increased its reach to be available on mobile
telephones devices, not just desktops and laptops. UAEU Developers created an
app which introduced a lightweight mobile version of the site and provided
access to number of major services for the UAEU Community.
As an extension of that development, the full mobile environment is now live
at UAEU and it includes a number of mobile apps within its framework. Ms.
Afraa Al Shamsi, CIO, said: "
