Service Description
Sons & Daughters of Faculty Members at UAEU and UAEU Employees are admitted to UAEU in the first and second semesters of the academic year based on an assessment of their academic qualifications and the instructional capacities of academic programs. Admissions to the United Arab Emirates University are based on the admissions policy which is issued annually.
Students wishing to enroll in a program can apply online through our online application system.
This online service allows you to:
- Complete the online admissions application at your own pace.
- Save your application to complete later (please note your Login ID and PIN code).
- Upload documents in support of your application (each document at one time).
- Submit your online application.
- Upload the security form
Service Procedures
The following is a step-by-step guide intended to assist undergraduate applicants through the online admissions process for various undergraduate programs offered at UAEU:

Target Audience
Grade 12 secondary certificate holders (Sons & Daughters of Faculty Members at UAEU and UAEU Employees).
Admissions Criteria
- One of the parents should be a Faculty Members or Employee at UAEU.
- The secondary school certificate must be new (recent).
- Students should have a minimum grade of 80% or above, in their secondary school certificate.
- Applicants must have a valid English score of (1250) in the English EmSAT Exam of its equivalent in IELTS (5.5) or TOEFL ITP (525)/ IBT (70).
- Extract the equivalency certificate from the Ministry of Education (Abu Dhabi) for private schools that do not follow the government curriculum.
- Students who studied in the British system are required to have 5 subjects at Ordinary Level (OL) + 2 subjects at Advanced Subsidiary (AS), or Advanced Level (AL). All the grades must be equal to Good (C), or above, in all 7 subjects.
- IELTS certificate issued outside the UAE must be approved by the British Council.
- Admission to the College of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Veterinary Medicine program in the College of Food and Agriculture are limited to National Students.

College of Engineering
- A minimum score of (1100) in EmSAT Exam of Mathematics, or its equivalent, or passing the College placement tests.
- A minimum score of (500) in EmSAT Exam of Chemistry or Physics, or its equivalent, or passing the College placement tests.
- A minimum score of (900) in EmSAT Exam of Arabic.
College of Information Technology
- A minimum score of (1100) in EmSAT Exam of Mathematics, or its equivalent, or passing the College placement tests.
- A minimum score of (900) in EmSAT Exam of Arabic.
College of Science
- A minimum score of (1100) in EmSAT Exam of Mathematics, or its equivalent, or passing the College placement tests.
- A minimum score of (500) in EmSAT Exam of Chemistry or Biology or Physics, or its equivalent, or passing the College placement tests.
- A minimum score of (900) in EmSAT Exam of Arabic.
College of Food and Agriculture
- A minimum score of (1100) in EmSAT Exam of Mathematics, or its equivalent, or passing the College placement tests.
- A minimum score of (500) in EmSAT Exam of Chemistry or Biology or Physics, or its equivalent, or passing the College placement tests.
- A minimum score of (900) in EmSAT Exam of Arabic.
College of Humanities and Social Sciences
- A minimum score of (700) in EmSAT Exam of Mathematics, or its equivalent, or passing the College placement tests.
- A minimum score of (1100) in EmSAT Exam of Arabic for the Majors offered in Arabic.
College of Education
- A minimum score of (700) in EmSAT Exam of Mathematics, or its equivalent, or passing the College placement tests.
- A minimum score of (1100) in EmSAT Exam of Arabic for the Majors offered in Arabic.
College of Law
- A minimum score of (700) in EmSAT Exam of Mathematics, or its equivalent, or passing the College placement tests.
- A minimum score of (1100) in EmSAT Exam of Arabic for the Majors offered in Arabic.
College of Business and Economics
- A minimum score of (900) in EmSAT Exam of Mathematics, or its equivalent, or passing the College placement tests.
- A minimum score of (900) in EmSAT Exam of Arabic.
**In case a student could not achieve the college’s admission terms and conditions within one semester from being provisionally assigned to the college, the University shall assign the student to a college with available capacity that is appropriate to the student’s academic qualifications.
Documents Required:
All applicants must complete the application form. The application must be accompanied by the following documents:
- Copy of a valid passport & valid visa.
- Copy of UAE identity card from both sides (if available).
- Copy of birth certificate.
- Personal picture passport size.
- Original high school certificate and a true copy of grade 12 certificate.
- An equivalent certificate is required for private schools that do not follow the UAE government curriculum and certificate from outside UAE.
- Valid English-language certificate.
- A written statement from the Human Resources Department in the university to demonstrate that one parent is a faculty member at the university and that the student is still on his/her work visa.
- Upload the security form.
Important Dates
Applicants must submit their application during the application period announced on the university’s website as follows:
First Academic Semester: May, June and July.
Second Academic Semester: September, October and November.
Problem Resolution
From one hour to a maximum of three days depending on the severity of the issue.
