Undergraduate Admissions

Students are admitted to UAEU on the basis of an assessment of their present academic qualifications and the instructional capacities of academic programs. Admissions to the United Arab Emirates University is based on the admission policy which is issued annually and sets forth the specific criteria for each of the following categories:

United Arab Emirates Citizens and Children of National Mothers

Arab Countries Seats

Asian and African Countries Seats

Children of UAEU Faculty and Staff 

Old High School Certificate

International students

To be considered for direct admission to a degree program, applicants must satisfy the following requirements along with meeting the minimum admission requirements in the appropriate category:

  • Proof of English language proficiency which may take one of the following forms:Pass a placement test in Mathematics

    • An EMSAT minimum score of (1100)
    • A TOEFL minimum score of (iBT = 61 / ITP = 500)
    • An IELTS minimum score of (5.0)
