80 students take their Medical Oath in a ceremony in the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at UAEU

The College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University organized a ceremony for students to take their medical oath in the Sheikh Khalifa Theatre in the college building on Monday, 10th, October 2016. The third year students took the oath in the presence of Professor Dennis Templeton, dean of the college, Dr. Suleiman Al Hammadi, the vice dean, parents and other family members.
Professor Templeton praised these future doctors and talked about his own medical career, He stressed the humanitarian principles and noble values of the medical profession, and their commitment towards their patients and the community. UAEU and the College of Medicine and Health Sciences has spared no effort in providing the best medical and scientific facilities in order to enhance the effectiveness of its graduates. Professor Templeton pointed out the leading role of national university in promoting the values of fairness and transparency through a commitment to the highest ethical principles. This enhances confidence and credibility in our future doctors because we know the rigor of the scientific and academic curriculum they have passed through.
Sahar Al Mansouri gave a speech on behalf of the female students and described her three-year academic journey, discussing the challenges faced to reach the stage of taking an oath to the medical profession. She talked of a future vision of the medical profession. Abdullah Mohammed represented the male students and talked about the effort required to become a doctor. He praised UAEU learning and medical science resources, which are some of the best in the world.
At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Assistant Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, along with 80 students, took the medical oath used by the medical profession in the UAE.
