Teaching Assistant and National Faculty Development Program
Welcome to the home page of the office of National Faculty Support and Teaching Assistants Programs. The National Faculty Support Program (NFSP) was developed for the purpose of providing an additional opportunity for national faculty members to enhance their professional development within the UAE University.
Also, the UAEU has a national faculty development program which provides scholarship to excellent national candidates who have the desire to pursue higher education and work in academia. The scholarship will provide a generous monthly salary and fully cover education, travel and health insurance costs throughout the masters and PhD studies. And upon the completion of the PhD studies, the candidate will join the UAE University as assistant professors. This strategic program was initiated by the UAEU Chancellor, H.H. Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mabarak Al Nahayan and continues to be strongly supported by his highness.
Therefore, if you know of any top senior student, whom you believe is a suitable candidate in terms of grades, caliber, moral standing, and stamina for higher education then please discuss the student's credentials with both your department chair and our office at (ta@uaeu.ac.ae) so that we can recommend him or her for an interview as soon as possible. The interviews have to be conducted before the final exams. The candidate can be a previous student whom you have contact with or a student who is about to graduate in this year. The minimum major GPA requirement is 3.0. Moreover, a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 is strongly recommended.
