Archiving System (BDMS) for ARD
This in house developed system integrated with Banner
provides employees to upload documents like Spouse/
Dependent passport, visa, & emirates ID via e-services
and HR to verify them via Internet Native Banner.
UITS created an application archiving solution for
Admissions and Registration Department to archive
student transcripts and other students related
documents in electronic format, index them and store
in the enterprise electronic document management
system. This solution not only supports archival of
the transcripts of current students, but also very old
transcripts from 1980's. One of the main requirements
from ARD was to archive very old transcripts, which
were not even in the standard paper format. The
solution provided was able to solve this problem.
Enhanced UAEU Website
The UAEU web presence was completely redesigned to be
able to cope up with the new challenges in higher education
and be able to compete with other worldwide universities.
The main focus areas were the user experience, ease of use,
navigation and the right content for the right audience.
The new website has been reformatted so that the
information is segregated where all the information that is
to be available to internal UAEU audience has been moved to
UAEU portal. The main focus is to properly position the UAEU
as an institution in the Higher education domain through
its web presence conforming to international standards. The
website is currently available in English language,
