Books Distribution Enhancement
Convert UAEU Branding Templates
to Arabic
Several important features have been added to the existing books distribution system. The system can now be used
to accurately monitor and forecast book usage. It provides several requested statistical reports to monitor the books
distribution.
According to the directions from the University
Management to make sure that all communication to the
UAEU community are in both English and Arabic language,
UITS developed all the branding elements to be suitable
for Arabic Content. That includes developing Power Point
templates, mail signatures, logos, and brochure templates,
office document templates that are suitable for Arabic
Content. Also, this project includes creating Content
Management System templates, which is suitable for
Arabic Content. The templates are available for all content
authors to be used and make all public facing websites
available in both English and Arabic Language.
Implement Sharepoint
Portal 2010
UITS decided to implement a baseline version of the Microsoft
sharepoint portal as Intranet. The sharepoint portal provides
lot more features that can be used by the colleges and
departments for improved and enhanced communication
and collaboration. Some of the most useful features are
collaboration through in built surveys, lists, Blogs, Wiki,
document libraries etc.
The departments and colleges will be able to create their
own portal sites and take full control of the content. In phase
I of this project the portal was rolled out to UITS called soft
launch. In phase II (Sept 2013) the portal was rolled out to the
UAEU community.
