Online College Transfer
Housing System Phase II
The Online College Transfer is developed in-house and enables students to request a college transfers online & through
smartphone. Students can specify three choices and upload required supporting documents along with the transfer
request. Students can also check the status and progress of their application and provides information to registration
department and college advising unit to make decisions about the applications.
The new system simplifies the student college transfer application process and it will reduce the processing time. It is
expected to deliver a considerable cost savings by increasing efficiency of Colleges and ARD staff productivities, reduce
administrative costs and processing time, and increase student and staff satisfaction.
This is an enhancement of the existing housing system
which is integrated with Banner. The new feature added is to
automatically create housing contract Purchase Orders once
a contract is signed. This has significantly reduced the time to
complete the process.
UGRU Banner Integration
The aim of this initiative was to improve and streamline how
UGRU data is handled. The main benefit from this project
was the fact that UGRU students registration and schedule
are handled the same way as the rest of the UAEU students.
This saves valuable resource since the UGRU student's system
shares the same resource as other students. Other features
included in this project are simplifying transcripts with
respect to meeting requirement for foundation courses and
friendly and easy to use screen to manage changes to the
foundation courses and cohorts.
Online TWIMC Letter
With the usual cooperation between UITS and HR to
provide UAEU employees easy access to HR services,
UITS has developed in-house a self service facility for
faculty and staff that allows them to generate “To
Whom It May Concern” and “Experience” letters online
via e Service. This project will facilitate the process of
requesting these letters while reducing the amount of
printing by HR department thus saving precious time
and resources.
