drug interaction in Type 2 diabetes that might lead to new concepts and strategies in combating

diabetes.

Bacterial diseases are also common; some bacteria currently have a tendency of becoming resistant

to antibiotics, which can have severe adverse effects after long term use. Consequently, new potent

antimicrobial agents are needed. The current research is focused as well on design and synthesis of

some novel pyrimidine derivatives that can be used against common pathogenic bacteria.
