National Teaching Assistants Office

The UAEU established a national Teaching Assistant (TA) program which provides scholarships to exceptional national candidates who have a strong desire to pursue higher education and work in academia. The scholarships provide a generous monthly salary and fully cover education, travel and health insurance costs throughout their masters and PhD studies. Upon the completion of the PhD studies, the candidate will join the University as an assistant professor.

We urge faculty members to identify top senior student, whom they believe would be a suitable candidate in terms of grades, caliber, moral standing, and stamina for higher education and to discuss the student's credentials with both the department chair and the TA Office so that we can invite him/her for an interview as soon as possible. The applicant should be a graduate of an accredited university, with a major GPA of 3 and above and a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.

National Faculty Support Program:

The National Faculty Support Program (NFSP) was developed to provide an additional opportunity for national faculty members to enhance their professional development within the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). The program gives the national faculty members the opportunity to attend conferences, workshops and training courses held by recognized academic associations.
