• Special Needs Support Services (SNSS)
The Special Needs Support Services ensures that all UAEU students with disabilities have access to educational opportunities
equal to their fellow students. Any student with a documented disability may choose to seek access to services provided by
SNSS.
• Academic Advisors
Each new student is assigned an academic advisor. Advising is a very important element of the credit hour system. Not only
does the advising system help acquaint the student with the syllabus and its contents, but it also strengthens the relationship
between the student and College members in order to achieve the objectives of the educational process. Academic
Advisors assist students in answering questions they may have during their academic career. In addition, they follow the
student’s academic progress through their course of study and assist in the selection of appropriate courses prior to the start
of each semester.
• Student Success Center
The Student Success Center liaises with all Colleges to support the academic and personal growth of all UAEU students in
academic areas through peer assisted learning and centers for writing and speaking. Peer assisted learning is viewed as a
means to supplement classroom instruction, foster independent learning, build self-esteem and assist students in improving
their academic skills. Also, all new students, before arriving to campus, are enrolled in a mentoring program where each
student is assigned a mentor to guide them through their first year at UAEU.
• Alumni Services
The UAEU Alumni Services keeps graduates in touch with each other and with the University so that graduates can stay a
part of the UAEU community.
