His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi, Vice Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), stressed the support of the university administration in helping both existing and new faculty to raise the level of teaching and research in the UAE, and to provide them with an ideal scientific research environment in order to highlight their research innovations and promote them internationally. He urged faculty to redouble their efforts to further improve teaching, research, innovation and community service. He also pointed out that these factors are basic goals for UAEU in encouraging future generations to be prepared for the national labor market.

Dr. Al Noaimi, held a meeting on the morning of Sunday 16^th August 2015 with new faculty at the Hilton Hotel in Al Ain in the presence of Professor Mohamed Albaili, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, college deans and the academic and administrative leadership of the university. He added that the university was well-established, sought to promote strategies to establish a position as one of the best universities in the region and had achieved notable successes already. This is thanks to the continuous efforts of faculty. The addition of excellent new faculty, carefully chosen by the university, will help to establish a reputation as one of the best universities in the world.He welcomed new professors to the university faculty, which is one of the most distinguished universities in the region, as well as the world, and one which occupies a high ranking in university world rankings. He encouraged them to join with their fellow professors to advance academic work and research at UAEU.

During the meeting he pointed out that this new influx of faculty members represents cultural, scientific and social diversity all of which adds value and strength to UAEU. This is all in the service of the UAE as it seeks to play a key role in promoting progress and development.

Professor Mohamed Albaili, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, stressed that the university has attracted fifty-nine professors from sixteen countries and regions, such as North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Additionally, there are twenty visiting Professors and five UAE nationals holding Ph.D degrees who are abroad on scholarships: two from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, two from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and one from the College of Information Technology. He further stressed the importance of addressing development, innovation and research. The university pays attention to this in different fields in its attempts to become a top research university both regionally and globally. To achieve this the university relies on its faculty and students.
