UAE University holds a Sports Injuries and Prevention course

The Student Activities Department (Males) at UAE University, in cooperation with the UAE Red Crescent in Al Ain; held a Sports Injuries and Prevention course, in the Information Technology building on campus, presented by Muhannad Ali Hussein, Community Awareness Supervisor of the UAE Red Crescent Authority.
This awareness course provides the necessary education about common sports injuries, especially those that cause muscle rips or internal bleeding, due to the size of sports activities the students are involved in in general, this course comes in the framework of strengthening the University's role in the transfer of knowledge and skills for community service, and consistent with the needs of students in terms of their education in theory and practice, where Mr. Muhannad spoke on causes leading of injuries like malnutrition, physical effort and bad training shoes.
Mr. Muhannad ended the course with guidance to students on how to avoid these injuries through theoretical and scientific applications, by explaining the types of fractures, wounds, muscle contractions and ruptures, and the risks that may be caused such as laceration of internal organs or distortions, and the impact this has on blood circulation, noting the need to warm up before exercise and be balanced in training, this was reflected in the interaction of the students with him by asking many questions.
