The Office of Deputy VC for Students Affairs & Enrolment requested to develop an online To-

Whom-It-May-Concern (TWIMC) letter for hostel students. Students will login to the eServices

and in the electronic documents request system they will be able to request the TWIMC letter.

The student can choose to include some predefined and/or additional notes to the letter and

will submit the request. These notes will need to be approved by Student Housing Section

and they will enter the correct statement in both English and Arabic, and once complete the

final PDF will be sent to the student via the email.

As part of the study plan for UAEU Students, UAEU Faculty arrange field trips for training,

conferences, workshop and other activities with other institutions and organizations within

the UAE as part of some course requirement. To allow processing and arranging for the trips

efficiently, Student Field Trip Management System has been introduced on Feb 2017. The

system allows UAEU Faculty to process request online for trip. In addition, Department Chairs

and Assistant Dean for Student in colleges will received the request online to process the

approval. Colleges Activities and Community Support Office at the end receive all approved

applications online and start the required arrangement.

As part of the continuous efforts of improving the

electronic services in UAEU, Petty Cash Management

system has been enhanced this year to facilitate different

functionalities. Petty Cash System is mainly intending to

facilitate the process of requesting petty cash for UAEU

faculty and staff that is done by the Financial Officers in

the colleges and departments.

The enhancements applied to the system are done at

different levels and for different purposes. The first

Travel system has been introduced in 2010 as an

electronic service. It is continuously used by UAEU

Faculty and Staff to process their travel requests. The

enhanced phase of the system is mainly focusing

on aligning the Approval Process in the system with

latest Financial Policy for Travels. In addition, other

enhancements applied to enhance the user experience

with the system. For example, an employee can now

provide the required documents for reimbursement

request. the system is enabled with more messages and

notifications; requestors can now know the approval

required for the type of request plan to be submitted.

Further improvement applied was the interface look and

feel.
